What internet speed and network do you need for IPTV?
Updated July 2026
Aim for at least 15 Mbps for HD, 25–30 Mbps for 4K, per stream. A stable, low-latency connection matters as much as raw speed — wired beats Wi-Fi.
Speed by quality
- SD: ~5 Mbps
- HD (720p/1080p): 10–15 Mbps
- 4K: 25–30 Mbps
- Add headroom if several people stream at once
Make it stable
- Prefer Ethernet or 5GHz Wi-Fi
- Keep the streaming device near the router
- Restart the router occasionally
- Consider a VPN only if your ISP throttles streaming
FAQ
Why does it buffer on fast internet?+
Speed isn't everything — Wi-Fi drops and server distance cause buffering too. Try Ethernet and ask us for a closer server.
